Video Editor Extraordinaire

We’re searching for a creative, self-starter that has a strong interest and experience in editing top-notch, compelling videos. As the video editing intern, you’ll be given access to our vault of video content and be tasked with pulling together short, engaging videos for use on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

  • Proven work or volunteer experience as a video editor, you can provide samples of your work
  • Have access to video editing software that you’re comfortable and confident using
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills
  • Bonus points if you’re an avid mountain biker and/or have experience working in adventure tourism 

Develop video content that will engage our fans, customers, and viewers

  • Optimize video content to ensure it is getting found in searches and is driving traffic to pages of our choosing
  • Repurpose existing video content for new videos
  • Edit existing videos into engaging content, and source music for engaging video content
  • Enhance our YouTube channel (edit video descriptions, add links)
  • Edit existing video content into 30-60s clips to use on Facebook and Instagram
  • Create a video ad for use as Youtube in-stream ad
  • Develop 3 stock intros and 3 outros for use in videos
  • Develop 2 or 3 strong video intros and outros with SR branding, music and effects, to be used as standard intros for all videos.
  • Use existing library of footage and free stock footage to develop 2-3 videos based on our most popular blog posts (e.g. ‘10 Reasons Why Mountain Biking Makes You Awesome’, a la Filme Von Draussen)
  • Ride/Destination-specific videos: edit existing footage from our Riders and Guides to develop destination specific promotional videos for social media

8 hours per week, including one 30-minute check in with our Marketing Director (via Skype). 


February 15th - May 31st, 2018 or until project completion.


You are welcome to fulfill your hours when and where you want, however, we ask that you check-in  weekly (via Skype)   to report on project status with our Marketing Director. 


This is an unpaid internship, however, at the completion of your term, you will receive a travel voucher worth $3000 with Sacred Rides, plus a $500 credit towards a flight, good until Dec. 31, 2019. You'll also have a body of work and results to show to future employers.
