WHAT DO YOU NEED:
- Tape
- Bike Case (Box, Bike Bag)
- Zip Ties
- Rags
- Foam/Bubble Wrap
- Beer (Optional, but highly recommended)
TOOLS:
- Multi-Tool or set of Allen Key
- Pedal Wrench ( to remove your pedals)
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
- Remove your back wheel
- Remove your dérailleur
- Wrap the derailluer in bubble wrap or foam
- Remove your pedals — remember be sure to turn the pedal wrench or allen key in the proper direction
- Place the rear wheel in the box or bike bag
- Prior to removing the front wheel, secure the through axel/quick release of your rear wheel back to the frame
- Remove the front wheel
- Deflate your tires
- Use cardboard to prevent your disc brake pads from touching each other
- Gather excess chain and zip tie it to the frame of the bike to avoid scratching
- Stay hydrated — have a sip of beer
- Use bubble wrap or foam to protect the bike
- Put the bike in the box or bag
- Remove seat post and handlebars
- Using zip ties, attach the handlebars to the frame
