Bio: Where would the world be without outdoor sports? I enjoy pretty much any outdoor activity, but especially skiing and mountain biking make my heart beat faster. In my youth I started with biking and I never stopped. First road biking and the last ten years mainly mountain biking. I love the sense of freedom and flow that comes with exploring the trails with my bike. Besides my professional job as a project manager for a contractor, which is mainly office work, the biking is the perfect reason to get out there and feed my soul with the adventure it needs. The experience I gained through my side-jobs as mountaineering and ski instructor are a great asset in the bike guiding. I started guiding for Sacred Rides 3 years ago in Fernie, Canada. Now being back in Europe I am assisting with the Alpen Thrills trip in Switzerland and Italy. I hope to get the change to take you out for a ride on one of the amazing trails in this region, which are rich in culture and history. Ps: In the video of one of my trips to Finale Ligure I am the guy in orange or green shorts ;)
My 'Sacred Ride': The riding in the Vinschgau Valley is amazing. Picture yourself on flowly and narrow single track trails that wind their way through the trees and alpine meadows with the best "happiness factor". It just makes me smile every time I ride in this region. The up can be tough, but the down is so much fun. Stunning views of the main valley as you blast down, old castles along the way and the perfect Italian espresso at the bottom waiting for you to get yourself pumped for the next ride. Because one is never enough!
