HOW DO I BOOK A SPOT ON ONE OF YOUR RIDES? 

You can book your spot one of two ways:

1) Online: Click on the ‘Book Now’ icon on any ride page and select the date you’re inter­est­ed in, then com­plete the steps of the book­ing process.

2) Over the phone: Call us at 1–888-423‑7849 or +1–250-984‑8901 between 8:00 am — 5:00 pm Mon­day to Fri­day PST, we’ll be hap­py to assist you!

To secure your spot, you’ll need to put down a $500 deposit, with the bal­ance payable 2 months pri­or to ride start date.

WHEN IS MY REMAINING BALANCE DUE?

Your bal­ance is due 2 months (60 days) pri­or to your depar­ture date.

I AM A SINGLE RIDER…IS THERE AN UP-CHARGE SINCE I AM ALONE AND NOT SHARING A ROOM?

We usu­al­ly pair solo rid­ers with some­one else of the same gen­der. In the event that there is no one in the group to pair you up with, you will get your own room at no addi­tion­al fee.

If you would like to be guar­an­teed your own pri­vate room for the dura­tion of your trip, you can select the Sin­gle Room Upgrade option through the Add-Ons tabs for an addi­tion­al fee. The Sin­gle Room Upgrade is avail­able on most of our rides and prices vary depend­ing on the destination. 

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN JOIN A RIDE?

We have a max­i­mum of 12 rid­ers on each depar­ture. We have the best client:guide ratio (1:4) to ensure you can ride at your pre­ferred pace, and to ensure you have an incred­i­ble trip.

HOW DO I KNOW MY SKILL AND FITNESS LEVEL WILL BE SUITABLE FOR THE RIDE?

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
CANCELLATION BY YOU

You may can­cel your reser­va­tion and get 100% of your mon­ey back with­in 14 days of book­ing. After that 2‑week win­dow, our life­time deposit pol­i­cy comes into effect: if some­thing unex­pect­ed comes up and you need to can­cel your trip, get in touch with us — as long as you give us 60 days notice, your deposit will be good for­ev­er, whether you use it for the same trip at a lat­er date, or any of our oth­er trips. Con­trary to most oth­er trav­el com­pa­nies, we won’t charge you a can­cel­la­tion fee.

*If you need to can­cel with­in 60 days of your sched­uled depar­ture, you will be for­feit­ing the full amount of your Ride, includ­ing your deposit. We there­fore strong­ly urge you to pur­chase trip cancellation/ inter­rup­tion insurance.

If an emer­gency occurs, and you need to depart the Sacred Rides trip ear­ly,  we can­not  pro­vide any type of refund for leav­ing the trip ear­ly. We high­ly rec­om­mend you pur­chase trip inter­rup­tion insur­ance to cov­er you for emer­gen­cies and unex­pect­ed trav­el costs, if needed. 

CANCELLATIONS BY US

Once we have four rid­ers con­firmed on your depar­ture — the trip is con­firmed and our team will reach out to you at that time, so you can book flights. 

‘ACTS OF GOD’, POLITICAL DISTURBANCES AND OTHER ISSUES AFFECTING TRIP DEPARTURE In very rare occa­sions, a sit­u­a­tion aris­es beyond our con­trol, such as nat­ur­al dis­as­ters, polit­i­cal unrest, or oth­er sim­i­lar events that may affect our abil­i­ty to deliv­er a safe and enjoy­able trip. In this case, we con­sult exten­sive­ly with our local staff to ascer­tain the pos­si­bil­i­ty of run­ning a safe trip. Our can­cel­la­tion pol­i­cy is as fol­lows:- If our local staff feel the trip can go ahead with­out undue risk to our clients’ safe­ty, then the trip will go ahead and if the cus­tomer decides to can­cel then that is treat­ed as a pas­sen­ger can­cel­la­tion.- If we feel it would be unsafe to run a trip as sched­uled, then the trip is can­celed and we give you a spot on anoth­er depar­ture of the same trip, or a full cred­it to use towards any of our oth­er trips. Please rest assured that your safe­ty is our #1 con­cern, and we would not run a trip if we felt your safe­ty would be compromised.

SOMETHING UNEXPECTED CAME UP, CAN I TRANSFER MY RIDE?

We under­stand that things out­side of your con­trol may come up between the moment you book your ride to its sched­uled depar­ture. That’s why we’re extra flex­i­ble, and make it easy for you to post­pone a ride if some­thing unex­pect­ed comes up. And unlike most oth­er trav­el com­pa­nies, we’ll nev­er charge you any form of a can­cel­la­tion fee.

We also real­ize that your pref­er­ence for a des­ti­na­tion may change over time. Our Life­time Deposit enables you to trans­fer your deposit to any of our des­ti­na­tions. Sim­ply get in touch with us – as long as you give us 60 days notice, your deposit will be good for­ev­er, whether you use it for the same trip or trans­fer it to anoth­er one. 

We allow one com­pli­men­ta­ry trans­fer per book­ing.  If you need to trans­fer your book­ing a sec­ond time (out­side of the 60-day mark), there is a $250 USD trans­fer fee. 

WHAT IS YOUR LIFETIME DEPOSIT POLICY?

Once booked, our Life­time Deposit pol­i­cy allows any client forced to delay a depar­ture or want­i­ng to switch des­ti­na­tions alto­geth­er, the abil­i­ty to apply their ini­tial deposit towards a lat­er sched­uled date or anoth­er ride at no extra charge. A Life­time Deposit has no expi­ra­tion date and can be used once for any depar­ture – pro­vid­ed room is still avail­able. Sim­ply put, we want to ensure you can enjoy the Sacred Rides expe­ri­ence you want, at a time that works best for you. You can trans­fer your Life­time Deposit up until 60 days before the ride start date of the ini­tial ride you booked.

DO YOU HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Trav­el med­ical insur­ance is manda­to­ry for all rides. We high­ly rec­om­mend pur­chas­ing trip can­cel­la­tion and inter­rup­tion as well. If any­thing should hap­pen to you before or dur­ing your trip, your invest­ment will be cov­ered. We can­not offer any refunds with­in 60 days of your depar­ture date. Please note,  there are many trav­el insur­ance com­pa­nies you can choose from,  please research what poli­cies and com­pa­nies align with the cov­er­age you need.  We Rec­om­mend the fol­low­ing companies.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

Yes, for the most part, we can accom­mo­date dietary restric­tions. Once booked, you can spec­i­fy your food aller­gies and dietary restric­tions with our team and our guides will plan accordingly. 

CAN I BOOK EXTRA HOTEL NIGHTS THROUGH SACRED RIDES?

We only booked pre/post ride hotel rooms for our Trea­sures of the Himalaya ride in Nepal. Due to detailed trip logis­tics and traf­fic in Kath­man­du, we rec­om­mend you arrive ear­ly and book pre/­post-ride hotel nights through your Rid­er Dashboard. 

For all oth­er rides, we do not book pre/post ride hotel nights. 

WILL I BE ABLE TO GET HELP REASSEMBLING MY BIKE WHEN I GET TO MY FINAL DESTINATION?

Yes! Our guides are pre­pared with the tools and knowl­edge to help you reassem­ble your bike and dis­as­sem­ble your bike at the end of the ride, so you can fly with peace of mind.
