2. nipika mountain resort - kootenay national park, British columbia

Nipika Mountain Resort boasts eight idyllic Canadian timber frame log cabins set amongst the stunning backdrop of the snow-capped Kootenay mountain range. You will feel at home among the mountains and proud to support an off-grid lodge with a focus on sustainability. 3. kicking horse resort - golden, british columbia

Kicking Horse Resort has an impressive cluster of mountain view condos and bike-in/bike-out accommodations. The resort has invested in becoming a premier mountain bike destination in the heart of British Columbia and you'll avoid the long lines and crowds at Whistler. The lift-accessed mountain bike trails offer up incredible alpine singletrack with spectacular views, and there are enough trails to keep you busy for days. If you have little ones learning to ride, the Kicking Horse Pump Track is the perfect place for kids to become more comfortable on two wheels. Kicking Horse is a great starting point for exploring the extensive mountain bike trail network outside of the resort park including popular Mount 7.

4. halcyon hot springs resort - nakusp, british columbia 

If you want to disconnect, mountain bike all day and relax  under a starry night sky in restorative hot springs, you need to check out Halcyon Hot Springs Resort. Situated on Upper Arrow Lake near the small quaint town of Nakusp, the lodge has spectacular lake views and mountain views of the Monashee Range. The resort offers inclusive amenities including a spa, restaurant and activities but, you might be too busy exploring the mountain bike trails in neighbouring New Denver to take advantage of it all. 

 

 

5. riding fools hostel - cumberland, british columbia 

If you're interested in exploring coastal British Columbia,  you will want to experience the mountain bike trails surrounding the old mining town of Cumberland. Along the town's small main street sits the Riding Fools Hostel.
