Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your reservation with no penalty within 7 days of booking.
After the first week, our cancellation policy is as follows*:

-60 days notice or more: $500 cancellation fee per person, or $200 transfer fee* if you transfer to another Ride
-30-60 days notice: $750 cancellation fee per person, or $300 transfer fee* if you transfer to another Ride
-less than 30 days notice: the full Ride price is forfeited. Transfers are unavailable.

*If you choose to transfer, then your deposit is held and applied to a different Ride once you choose one. If you have paid in full, then we refund you the balance payment portion of your invoice and hold on to the deposit. Once you choose a new Ride, then the transfer fee is added to your account.

*this applies to our weeklong and longer Rides. The above fees are halved for weekend Rides.

Please note that our cancellation policy is strict (many of our Rides fill up well in advance and we have to turn people away, so late cancellations represent foregone revenue for us). For this reason we strongly urge you to purchase trip cancellation insurance.

CANCELLATIONS BY US

Once you have received a confirmed reservation from us, we make every effort for that trip to go forward. However, we must reserve the right to cancel any trip. Should we cancel a trip on which you have a confirmed reservation, we will not only refund all monies paid by you to us, but we will also give you a $400 credit good for any Sacred Rides trip during the same or following season. Please note that once trips are scheduled, cancellations by us are extremely rare.

'ACTS OF GOD', POLITICAL DISTURBANCES AND OTHER ISSUES AFFECTING TRIP DEPARTURE

From time to time a situation may arise beyond the control of our company or the client's, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other similar events that affect our ability to deliver a safe and enjoyable trip. In this case, we consult extensively with our local staff to ascertain the possibility of running a safe trip. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

-If our local staff feel the trip can go ahead without undue risk to our clients’ safety, then the trip will go ahead and if the customer decides to cancel then that is treated as a passenger cancellation.

-If we feel it would be unsafe to run a trip as scheduled, then the trip is cancelled and we give you a spot on another departure of the same trip, or a full credit to use towards any of our other trips.

Please rest assured that your safety is our #1 concern, and we would not run a trip if we felt your safety would be compromised.

INSURANCE

Travel medical insurance is mandatory for all of our trips. If you don't have insurance, you can purchase discounted comprehensive insurance from our partners at bikeflights.com or World Nomads directly via our site at our insurance page. We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive insurance, including trip cancellation and interruption: if anything should happen to you before or during your trip, your investment will be covered.
