Mike Brcic

Mike Brcic - Owner, Customer Happiness Manager

Company founder and president, Mike's passion for the outdoors was forged on the lakes and rivers of Ontario. After spending a summer in BC after university, the call of the mountains was too great to ignore and he packed up a rusty old Volvo and headed West. A love of mountain biking and meeting people from around the world inspired Sacred Rides, and 11 years later, he takes pride in a small homegrown company made good.
Eddy Plant

Eddy Plant - Lead Guide, BC

With a background in downhill and cross country racing as well as a good few years as a bike mechanic Eddy is your all round mountain bike guide with skill in all the right places. Always looking for the everyday adventure and easily spotted by his shock of red hair, Eddy is every downhiller's dream guide: friendly, super-talented, and not afraid to share his riding secrets.
Johanna Weintrager

Johanna Weintrager - Lead coach & guide, BC

Entering the North Shore freeride scene in 2000, Johanna has been passionate about riding ever since. Racing both Downhill and Cross country, she eventually turned to coaching, instructing and guiding all over B.C. Epic downhill, multi day XC, dirt jumping, road and park riding, she always has a smile when her two wheels are turning. Moving to Fernie last fall she looks forward to being head coach/instructor for Sacred Rides and guiding some of the amazing trips offered in 2008!
Danike Schroeter

Danike Schroeter - Assistant coach & guide, BC

Born and raised in North Vancouver, Danika started riding in 2001, and went on to have an amazing time racing DH at the elite national and international level for 4 years. She is currently working on her Kinesiology degree in Vancouver, and looking forward to coaching skills camps this summer.
Wayo Stein

Wayo Stein - Lead guide, Peru

A former DH champion in Peru, Wayo is certifiably addicted to mountain biking. A consummate professional Wayo knows how to have a good time while keeping things safe. His knowledge of Peru is only equaled by his mountain biking skills, and he will gladly share a few tips with you over a mug of mate de coca.
Russo Corravabias

Russo Corravabias - Assistant guide, Peru

Russo is the current XC champion of Peru, and a local legend in the Cusco area. Growing up in Maras, near Cusco, Russo explored the valleys and mountains of Peru and took to mountain biking with a vengeance upon discovering the sport. Russo is Quechua, a direct descendant of the Incas, and loves to share his passion for mountain biking and his country.
Eduardo de Solminihac

Eduardo de Solminihac - Lead guide, Chile

Hector is a former Chilean downhill champion who spends just about every free minute of his time on his bike. Well-known on the Chilean mountain bike circuit, Hector knows almost everyone in Chile, or at least it seems that way when you ride with him. His knowledge of the terrain in Chile is second to none.

Pancho Herrera - Assistant guide, Chile

Pancho is the consummate mountain guide - he does it all: climbing, mountain biking, skiing, mountaineering, you name it. And he does it with class, style and a wide grin. His sense of humour will have your rolling in the aisles, and with Hector, makes an unbeatable Chilean guide team.

Pablo Marina - Driver, Peru

Pablo is hands-down the best driver in Peru, an essential skill when navigating precipitious mountain passes. Although he speaks no English, his big smile says it all: he loves his country and he loves to explore it from the wheel of his Mercedes bus.

A born-and-bred Guatemalan, Luisa loves showing visitors the beautiful scenery, volcanoes and spectacular mountain biking of her country, with her faithful dog Chela at her side
Rob Fex

Rob Fex - Lead Instructor, Ontario Skills Camps

Rob has been involved with the sport of mountain biking since 1985. He is a passionate advocate for the advancement of mountain biking in Ontario and is involved in several grass roots development programs. He has been involved in almost every aspect of mountain biking in Ontario, from event risk management and safety planning for Canada Cup races to trail building at Hardwood Ski and Bike and Camp White Pine. He has been the lead mountain bike instructor at Hardwood Ski and Bike since 2003 and many of the athletes he has worked with are now accomplished racers on the Ontario Cup circuit. His motto is "A bad day on your bike is still a good day!!"
Heather Stanley

Heather Stanley - Lead Instructor, Ontario Skills Camps

Heather Stanley has been working as a health-care provider and personal trainer since 1986. She has competed in several disciplines including cross-country mountain biking, trail & road running, duathlons, road triathlons and Xterra events. Her passion is cross-country mountain biking and she has been racing at a senior elite level since 2002. Heather’s practical skills & education - a Masters degree in nutrition, NCCP certification, certified yoga teacher - give her clients a comprehensive coaching experience.
