Magnificent Mesas

May-June & Sep.-Oct.5 daysSkill:7/9

Level 7/Advanced

  • You've been mountain biking for at least 3-4 years and are very confident in all aspects of mountain biking
  • You can handle most technical terrain, include rocky and root trails, along with features such as switchbacks, medium logs (6-8" high), and low-level obstacles such as bridges
  • You're comfortable with most advanced level trails (although you may walk a few sections).

Level 3

  • You are capable of riding 4-5 hours a day at a moderate pace (and with breaks)
  • You can handle one or two climbs a day up to a total of 400 vertical metres (1,300 ft).
  • You exercise regularly throughout the year, at least twice a week for an hour.

  • You rarely - if ever - get off your bike to walk sections except on extremely technical terrain

Nobody does the Southwest like Sacred Rides. We'll take you to the classics like Thunder Mountain and Slickrock in Utah, but we'll also take you to some hidden gems and spectacular trails in the region such as the Rainbow Rim of the Grand Canyon and the trails of Fruita, Colorado. Our best trip for just flat-out mountain bike fun and lots of it.

What you didn't know is that you've always wanted to ride Fruita too, one of the best 'undiscovered' mountain bike destinations on the planet (but not for long). On this trip you'll pack as much epic riding into 5 days as possible, including famous trails like Slickrock, Porcupine Rim, and the Whole Enchilada, plus lesser-known epics in Fruita.
